Bio

Darius McGhee begins his second year on the Carnegie Mellon staff in 2025 and will help coach the tight ends. A Pittsburgh Pa. native, McGee won WPIAL and PIAA state championships in high school at Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School.

McGhee is a 2014 graduate of Saint Vincent College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology before receiving his master's degree in counselor education in 2018. While at Saint Vincent, he was a two-year captain, three-year starter and three-time All-Presidents' Athletic Conference honoree on the offensive line.

McGhee currently is a school counselor at Saint Benedict the Moor in Pittsburgh. After earning his master's degree he worked at Pittsburgh Central Catholic as a freshman dean for three years where he also was an assistant football coach for the Vikings.
