Eight Tartan Football Players Earn CSC Academic All-District Honor
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Eight Carnegie Mellon University football student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III Football.
The Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Players honored were selected by their school's Athletics Communications professionals. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games and carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and have achieved at least sophomore academic and athletic standing.
Academic All‐District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America ballot. First‐, second‐ and third-team Academic All‐America honorees will be announced in January, following a vote by CSC's membership, which is comprised of more than 3,000 sports information and athletic communication professionals throughout the United States and Canada.

Jacob Franze - Senior - 3.69 - Information Systems
Bennett Grace - Senior - 4.0 - Mechanical Engineering
Charlie Katarincic - Junior - 3.55 - Finance
Reece Kolke - Junior - 3.83 - Finance
Danny Moynihan - Senior - 3.56 - Business Administration
Leighton Tarke - Senior - 3.92 - Mechanical Engineering
Giacomo Valente - Junior - 3.59 - Business Administration & Neuroscience
Caputo is now three-time honoree while Kolke received the award for the second time.
