Tartan Offensive Line Garner D3football.com Recognition
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University starting offensive line of seniors Andy Champe and Sam Alligood, junior Charlie Katarincic, sophomore Conor Gaul and freshman Orazio Nastase were named the offensive line of the week by D3football.com for their play in the Tartans' 70-29 win at Dickinson College on Saturday, November 1.
The Tartans scored a touchdown on all 10 of their possessions and totaled 664 yards of offense, the second most in program history. Carnegie Mellon finished with 371 yards on the ground, which is the most for the program since 2015. The Cardinal and Gray were also 9-of-13 on third down and 4-of-4 on fourth down.
Carnegie Mellon will continue CC play on Saturday, November 8 when Franklin and Marshall College travels to Pittsburgh. The kick is set for 12:00 p.m. on the turf of Richard M. Lackner Field at Gesling Stadium.
