Arcia Receives PAC Weekly Defensive Honors
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Carnegie Mellon University senior Kevin Arcia was named Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Athlete of the Week following his play Saturday in the Tartans' 38-0 win over Saint Vincent.
Arcia of the now 15th-ranked Tartans recorded two interceptions for a Cardinal and Gray defense that posted its second straight shutout Saturday. Both interceptions came in Carnegie Mellon territory to thwart potential Saint Vincent scoring drives. The senior also had two solo tackles for a Tartans defense that held the Bearcats to 164 yards of total offense, including only 34 yards rushing.
Carnegie Mellon will return to the gridiron on Saturday, September 16 when Waynesburg University travels to Pittsburgh. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. on the turf at Gesling Stadium.
