    Carnegie Mellon University junior Sam Brod (Austin, Texas/Vandegrift) was recognized nationally on the D3football.com Team of the Week and also was named Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Athlete of the Week following his play Saturday in the Tartans’ 31-6 win at Geneva College.

    The Carnegie Mellon University football team traveled to Beaver Falls on Saturday night for the Seventh Annual Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Kickoff Classic against Geneva College. The Tartans walked out of Reeves Field with a 31-6 victory to start the season 2-0, 1-0, while the Golden Tornadoes are now 0-2, 0-1.

    The Carnegie Mellon University football team opened its season at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on Saturday and scored 24 unanswered points and left with a 24-7 win. The matchup was the first between the two institutions.
  • Tartans Selected to Finish Fifth in PAC Football Preseason Poll

    The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) held its annual football media day on Tuesday, where the Carnegie Mellon University football team was selected to finish fifth in the 2019 PAC preseason poll. Media day was held at the Robert S. Carey Center Student Lounge on the campus of Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
  • Helms Promoted to Associate Head Football Coach

    Carnegie Mellon University Assistant Football Coach Andy Helms has been promoted to Associate Head Coach for the start of the 2019 Tartan season. Helms, who will begin his sixth year with the program this fall, will retain his role of offensive coordinator and responsibilities coaching the quarterbacks.
