(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University football team will jump back into University Athletic Association (UAA) play on Saturday, November 7 when the Maroons of the University of Chicago travel to Pittsburgh. The Tartans are seeking their fifth straight victory while trying to snap a two-game skid to the Maroons after dropping a 28-7 contest in Chicago a year ago.
The series between Carnegie Mellon and Chicago started in 1988 when the UAA was formed. The Tartans hold a 20-7 advantage and the longest winning streak between the two teams at 10 games, which started the series. Carnegie Mellon's last victory over the Maroons in Pittsburgh was a 31-14 decision in 2012.
The Tartans enter the game with a 5-3, 0-1 UAA record, as the Maroons are 6-2, 1-0. Kick is set for 12:00 p.m. on the turf of Gesling Stadium.
