Tartans Set to Compete in 8th Straight NCAA Championship

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team received an at-large invitation to the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships, marking the eighth straight bid for the Tartans. This year's race will be hosted at Milliken Research Park in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on Saturday, November 22. The team's appearance marks the 11th in program history.

Carnegie Mellon received the invite after placing second at the Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday. Six Tartans finished in the top 35 to earn all-region accolades.

The Tartans received one of 22 at-large bids and will join the field of 32 at the championships. Five Tartans were part of the team that placed 25th at the championships last year and are joined by the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Regional Champion, Chloe Bonson, who competed as an individual last year at the championships for Allegheny College.

The women's race will begin at 12:00 p.m. with the men's race set for 11:00 a.m.
