Tartans Place Second at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional

(LOCK HAVEN, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon women's cross country team competed at the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships on Saturday. The Tartans placed second out of 30 teams in the 6k race.

Results

  • Sophomore Ananya Devpura was the first to cross for the Tartans, earning fifth place out of 100 athletes with a time of 21:24.1.
  • Junior Orit Shiang finished in 11th with a time of 21:40.4.
  • Sophomore Maya Ducker earned a time of 21:43.3, placing 15th.
  • Junior Margaret Ann Healy crossed in 20th with a time of 22:00.6.
  • Senior Caitlin Guilfoyle finished in 22:08.3, placing 25th.
  • Freshman Emma Horsley placed 33rd with a time of 22:19.9.
  • Junior Jackie Liu earned 36th place with a time of 22:30.9.

Notes:

  • Devpura, Shiang, Ducker, Healy, Guilfoyle and Horsley earn all-region honors by finishing in the top 35.
  • This is the third straight year the Tartans placed second at the regional championships.
