The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team soared to third place at the University Athletic Association Championships hosted by the University of Rochester on Saturday, October 27 finishing with 103 points and three runners in the top 14.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team competed at the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College Saturday, October 13. The Tartans placed eighth overall out of a field of 30 teams and 270 runners.

The Carnegie Mellon University women’s cross country team hosted its annual invitational on Saturday, October 6, in Schenley Park. The Tartans women's cross country team finished fifth overall as Division II Indiana University of Pa. took first place.

The Carnegie Mellon University women’s cross country team is off to a fantastic start due to the leadership of the upperclassmen and the fast start of the 12 newcomers. For the first time since 2001 the program earned a national ranking by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The team broke into the rankings last week at #33 and jumped two spots to #31 after their third race of the year last week.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team traveled north on Interstate 79 for the Mack Cooper Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University at Cooper's Lake Campground. The Tartans finished the race third out of seven teams with three runners finishing in the top 20.
