#25 Tartans Victorious 3-0 Against Mount Aloysius
(CRESSON, Pa.) – The 25th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team traveled to Cresson, Pennsylvania to play Mount Aloysius College on Thursday evening and left with a 3-0 win. The win puts the Tartans at 11-4 on the season and the Mounties are now 10-6.
Inside the Box Score
- The Tartans hit .214 overall: .310 in the first set, .088 in the second, and .220 in the third. The Mounties hit .070 overall.
- Junior Kate Giang led the team offensively with 14 kills, hitting .500.
- Junior Neha Tummala was responsible for 35 of the Tartans' 37 assists. Tummala also had a team-high of three service aces.
- Senior Julianna McFarland had all three of the team's block solos.
- Senior Bella Woodard recorded three block assists.
- Junior Zoe Gavros led the team with 24 digs while Tummala finished with 12 and Giang with 11.
Notes
- Tummala now has 2,037 careers assists and became the ninth Tartans to record 2,000 for a career.
- The double-double for Tummala is her eighth of the season.
- The double-double for Giang is her third of the season.

The Tartans will travel to Atlanta, Georgia for the first UAA Round Robin of the season. On Saturday, September 27 they will face the ninth-ranked Emory University at 11:00 a.m. and Case Western Reserve University at 1:00 p.m.
