Healy Set to Compete at 2026 NCAA Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – Senior Margaret Ann Healy of the Carnegie Mellon University women's outdoor track and field athletes received an invite to compete at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 21-23. This year's championships is hosted by the University of Wisconsin La Crosse and will be held at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Healy qualified for the outdoor championships in the 1,500-meter run. She qualified with a school record time of 4:27.95 that she ran this past week at the Widener Final Qualifier, as her time ranks 16th best entering the championships. She topped her school record time of 4:29.05 which she set in mid-April. At the meet, the senior topped the previous school record held by Erin Kiekhaefer in 2015 which was a time of 4:32.28.

Healy is making her first appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and second overall at an NCAA Cahmpionship. She ran the mile at the indoor championships in March.

Healy becomes the fourth Tartan to qualify for the 1,500-meter run at the championships and is set to race in the preliminaries on Thursday, May 21 at 4:35 p.m.
