Healy Breaks School Record in 1,500 at Bucknell, Tartans Compete at Westminster

(LEWISBURG, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team split into two meets this weekend. Half of the team traveled to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania to compete in the Bucknell Outdoor Classic on Saturday and Sunday while the other half competed in the Westminster Invite Saturday. Senior Margaret Ann Healy set a new school record in the 1,500-meter race.

Top Performers at Bucknell

• Healy added another school record to her repertoire, finishing the 1,500-meter race in 17th with a time of 4:29.05, placing her 14th in Division III currently. She bests Erin Kiekhaefer's 2015 school record time of 4:32.28.
• Junior Ananya Devpura ran a new personal record of 16:56.39 in the 5,000-meter run, she is the second Tartan to break the 17-minute barrier in the 5k, placing her second on the all-time list. She is currently ranked 20th nationally.
• In the 3,000-meter run junior Maya Ducker finished third in 10:17.44, placing her fourth on the CMU outdoor track all-time list. Freshman Alexis Ohler ran 10:22.27 – 15 seconds faster than her previous personal best, finishing in fifth. Just behind her was teammate senior Orit Shiang in 10:26.06 crossing the line in sixth. 
• In the 800-meter dash senior Jackie Liu finished 36th in a field of 148, running a season best of 2:15.119.
• Sophomore Elise Kempf, raced the 1,500-meter as she finished in a new personal best of 4:46.66.
• Graduate student Chloe Bonson ran 17:18.94 in the 5,000-meter run.

Top Performers at Westminster:

• Junior Alaina Patel dominated the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing over 25 seconds in front of the second fastest competitor. She also broke into the CMU top five list, with a 11:38.28, the third best time in school history.
• In the 5,000-meter run junior Kara Mathias ran away from the rest of the field, finishing in a personal best time of 18:33.85, 20 seconds in front of the next fastest competitor. 
• Freshman Sophia Riche finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles, with a time of 15.38, senior Iniyaa Mohanraj finished sixth in 15.96. Sophomore Alin Aydogan in 16.88 seconds, crossing the line in 11th.
• Freshman Eva Adam set a new personal best in the 1,500-meter run finishing fourth in 5:01.09.
• Freshman Lily Fox set a new personal record in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.29 crossing the line in sixth.
• In her first race of 2026, sophomore Emma Horsley finished sixth with a time of 2:19.82. Following closely behind her was sophomore Estee Teo in 2:20.05, a new personal best. 
• Sophomore Jessica Thiss threw the hammer 38.87 meters, placing her eighth overall. 
• In pole vault, sophomore Ava Barnes vaulted 3.56 meters to place fifth.
• In the shot put junior Sara Christie placed 10th, throwing a mark of 10.65 meters. 
• Mohanraj and Riche both competed in the triple jump, finishing ninth and 11th, respectively. Mohanraj jumped 10.48 meters and Riche jumped 10.34 meters.
