Tartans Compete at NCAA South Regional Final Qualifier in Virginia

(WINCHESTER, Va.) – Members of the Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed in the NCAA South Regional Final Qualifier meet at Shenandoah University on Friday and Saturday.

Top Performances

• Sophomore Alin Aydogan placed fifth in the pentathlon with 2,968 points. She took fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.51 seconds. Aydogan was fifth in the long jump, high jump and shot-put with marks of 4.95 meters, 1.49 meters, and 9.80 meters, respectively.
• Senior Iniyaa Mohanraj placed third in both the long jump and triple jump with marks of 5.01 meters and 10.43 meters.
• In the pole vault, sophomore Ava Barnes cleared the bar at 3.57 meters.
