Women’s Track and Field Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards

(NEW ORLEANS, La.) - The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2025 Division III All-Academic Track & Field Teams and Carnegie Mellon University was included on the list for the 29th consecutive year.

The women's track and field team earned the distinction because of a cumulative team grade point average (GPA) of 3.10 or better for the 2024-25 academic year, as the Tartans carried a cumulative team GPA of 3.48 for the academic year.

In addition to the team earning the award, five individuals were honored:

Freshman Ava Barnes - Biological Sciences
Sophomore Maya Ducker - International Relations and Politics
Graduate student Caitlin Guilfoyle - Professional Writing
Junior Jackie Liu - Statistics
Junior Orit Shiang - Chemical Engineering

All five individuals qualified for the award by achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or better while either competing at the NCAA Championships or finishing the regular season ranked in the national top 50 in an individual event or top 35 in a relay event.
