Eight Athletes Compete at West Virginia Stan Romanoski Open
(MORGANTOWN, W.Va.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team traveled to West Virginia University for the West Virginia Stan Romanoski Open. Eight Tartans competed in five events.
Top Performances on the Track
- Placing second in the 800-meter run, junior Jackie Liu set a season-best time of 2:15.35. Senior Rhythm Satav was fifth in the 800-meter run with a personal record time of 2:20.02.
- Graduate student Caitlin Guilfoyle earned second place in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:45.48. Junior Margaret Ann Healy was fourth with a time of 4:48.08.
Top Performances in the Field
- Sophomore Hazel Buonopane was the top finisher in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.33 meters.
- Senior Jocelyn Kiefel placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 10.98 meters. Junior Iniyaa Mohanraj and freshman Alin Aydogan placed third and fifth with marks of 10.97 meters and 10.54 meters, respectively.
- Mohanraj and Aydogan were also top finishers in the long jump. Mohanraj was fifth with a mark of 5.18 meters and Aydogan was sixth with a mark of 5.00 meters.

On Thursday, May 8, the Tartans will compete at the Allegheny Gator Invitational at Allegheny College.
