Tartans Compete at John Papa Invitational

(SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed at the John Papa Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University on Thursday.

Top Performances on the Track

• Junior Katie Monahan placed fourth in the discus throw with a personal-best mark of 38.41 meters.
• Senior Jocelyn Kiefel took first place with a shool record jump mark of 11.43 meters in the triple jump. She broke her old mark of 11.35 meters set last season at the WVU Last Chance Meet.
• Freshman Alin Aydogan placed second place in the triple jump with a personal-best mark of 11.11 meters.
• Freshman Catalina Howells tied for seventh in the high jump clearing the bar at 1.45 meters.
• Junior Iniyaa Mohanraj placed eighth in the long jump with a mark of 5.30 meters.

Top Performances on the Track

• Mohanraj, freshman Catherine Stava, Kiefel and Aydogan place fifth in the 4x100 relay with a time of 51.35.
• Senior Hayley Kilgore placed fifth with a personal-best time of 4:53.21 in the 1500-meter run.
• Aydogan placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.93.
• Senior Sunny Tang took sixth in the 400-meter dash with a personal-best time of 1:00.72.
• Junior Jackie Liu first place in the 800-meter run with a personal-best time of 2:17.05 while senior Rhythm Satav took fourth with a personal-best time of 2:23.08.
