Tartans Finish Ninth at Dave Labor Invite
(SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team participated in the Dave Labor Invitational at Slippery Rock University on Friday and Saturday. The Tartans scored 29 points and finished ninth.
Top Performances on the Track
- Junior Jackie Liu earned second place in the 800-meter run, finishing with a time of 2:16.33.
- Senior Caitlin Guilfoyle placed seventh in a field of 74 athletes in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:47.57.
Top Performances in the Field
- In the triple jump, senior Jocelyn Kiefel reached a mark of 11.27 meters, placing third. Junior Iniyaa Mohanraj placed seventh with a mark of 10.66 meters.
- Three Tartans made the long jump podium: Mohanraj placed third with a mark of 5.33 meters which tied a personal-best, freshman Alin Aydogan placed sixth with a mark of 5.15 meters and Kiefel placed eighth with a mark of 5.11 meters.
- In the discus throw championship, junior Katie Monahan earned eighth place and a mark of 36.20 meters.

The Tartans will compete at the Westminster and Bucknell Invitationals starting Friday, April 11.
