Tartans Compete at Kenyon Invitational
(GAMBIER, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team traveled to Kenyon College for the Kenyon Invitational over the weekend.
Single Play:
- The Tartans won 14 matches on Saturday and seven on Sunday
- Junior Divya Venkatarama, freshman Shelly Zinchenko, freshman Ancele Dolensek, and freshman Victoria Gazda all went unbeaten for the weekend.
- Zinchenko, Dolensek and Gazda all went 3-0 while Venkatarama went 2-0,
Doubles Play:
- The Tartans collected nine doubles wins over the weekend.
- Joshi and Hou won 6-4 over the tandem Dasha Christyakova and Caitlin VanWrinkle of Denison. They also won 6-2 over the tandem Olivia Eckels and Daniela De Mata of Otterbein.
- Hou also teamed with Lu, as they defeated the tandem from Otterbein, Breanna Ball and Taryn Simmers, 6-1.
- Gazda and Lu defeated Otterbein's Cassady Shough and Olivia Eckels by the score of 6-2.
- Venkatarma and Dolensek won 6-2 over the tandem Peyton Oda and Maia Nowicki from Otterbein and 6-4 over the tandem Shaida AmadoAguad and Hana Nouaime of Kenyon.
- Freshman Rachel Li and senior Zoe Angell also won a pair of matches defeating Denison's Peyton Oda and Mai Nowicki by 6-4 and Otternein's Lillia Walter and Erin Storrer by 6-3.

The Tartans will compete in the ITA Regional September 20-22.
