Venkatarama Honored by UAA

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Divya Venkatarama was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Tennis Athletes of the Week for her performance over the weekend at the Kenyon Invitational.

Venkatarama went perfect in singles play, winning all three of her matches and won one of her doubles matches. Venkatarama started play with a straight set victory over UAA counterpart Lily McCloskey of Case Western Reserve. She then topped Dasha Chistyakova of Denison in straight sets before winning a three-set match over Shadia Amado Aguad of Kenyon.

The Tartans will be back on the courts when they host their annual invitational on September 15-17.
