Gil Earns All-America Award, Places Third in 100 Fly at NCAA Championships

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) –  The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team continued competition at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday, March 19. The meet is being held at the IU Natatorium on the campus of Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. After day two, the Tartans  are in 13th place out of 33 teams with 33 points.

Top Performances

• Freshman Audrey Gil finished third in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 54.39 seconds. The time sets a new school record, as Gil set the record earlier this year at 54.90.

Up Next

The Tartans will continue competition at the NCAA Championships tomorrow, Friday March 20. Competition will begin at 10 a.m. with preliminaries in the 200-yard medley relay, 200-yard butterfly, 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard breaststroke.
