Tartan Women Set Four Season Bests and School Record at Kenyon Fast Chance Meet
(GAMBIER, Ohio) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming team competed at the Kenyon College Fast Chance Meet on Saturday, February 21.
Senior Sophie Elliott won the 200-yard butterfly in an NCAA qualifying mark of 2:04.25 while senior Audrey Soetanto placed second with a qualifying mark of 2:04.31. Both are season-best times for the seniors.
The 400-yard freestyle relay of freshman Alefiya Dhansura, freshman Audrey Gil, freshman Victoria Sun, and junior Anna Zaniolo finished the two participant race first with a time of 3:28.14 to meet the qualifying mark for the NCAA Championships and set a season-best time in the event.
The 200-yard medley relay team of sophomore Olivia Giuffre, senior Esther Lin, senior Savannah Xu, and senior Grace Malinger touched in 1:44.00 to set a new school record and meet the NCAA qualifying mark in the event.
