Tartans Host Denison in Dual Meet
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team returned from their annual training trip in Florida to host a dual meet with Denison University on Saturday, January 17. The Big Red won the meet by a 214-74 score.

- Opening Relay: The 200-yard medley relay placed third with a time of 1:48.51 from sophomore Olivia Guiffre, senior Audrey Lambert, senior Savannah Xu, and freshman Audrey Gil.
- Sophomore Alexandra Scharpf placed third in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:54.61, while sophomore Jessica Zheng was fourth in 11:09.06.
- Junior Victoria Sun placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.38 and was closely followed by freshman Chloe Mihaly in 1:59.85.
- Xu won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:05.32. Later she placed second in the 100-yard backstroke in 57.32 and third in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:09.94.
- Lambert was fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:06.75.
- Sophomore Natalia Evans-Gibson finished fourth in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:11.05, followed by senior Sophie Elliott in 2:11.28.
- In the 100-yard freestyle, freshman Maddie Muncy finished in fifth with a time of 54.92.
- Junior Elizabeth Shaffer led the Tartans in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:27.84, placing fourth.
- Elliott finished in fourth in the 500-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 5:19.87.
- Senior Audrey Soetanto finished in third place during the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.91, followed by Gil who swam 59.12.
- The Tartans finished off the meet winning the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:40.50 from freshman Alefiya Dhansura, Muncy, sophomore Lizzy Rosenberg, and Lambert.
Westminster Diving Invite
- Clarissa Co finished third on the 1-meter board with a score of 212.35.
