Xu Closes NCAA Meet with Third All-America Trophy in 200-Yard Backstroke

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) – The Carnegie Mellon women's swimming and diving team ended competition at the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Saturday, with an All-American performance by junior Savannah Xu. The Tartans placed 30th with 11 team points.

Top Performances

• Junior Savannah Xu finished eighth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:01.49, earning her third straight All-America honor in the event.
• Sophomore Elizabeth Shaffer placed 22nd in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:20.39.
• Freshman Alexandra Scharpf swam the 1650-yard freestyle in a time of 17:28.90, placing 28th.
