Tartans Continue Competition at NCAA Championships

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team continued competition at the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Friday, March 21.

Top Performances

  • Freshman Natalia Evans-Gibson, junior Audrey Soetanto, and freshman Alexandra Scharpf competed in the 200-yard butterfly. Evans-Gibson placed 19th with a time of 2:04.51, Soetanto placed 26th with a time of 2:06.56, and Scharpf placed 27th with a time of 2:06.61.
  • Sophomore Elizabeth Shaffer finished the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:05.55 to place 34th.
  • Junior Savannah Xu swam the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 59.17 and placed 43rd.

Tomorrow, the Tartans will compete in 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke, and 1650-yard freestyle on the fourth and final day of NCAAs.
