Five Athletes Compete in Day Two of NCAAs

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team continued competition at the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Thursday, March 20.

Top Performances

  • Freshman Alexandra Scharpf placed 23rd in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:30.43.
  • Junior Audrey Soetanto finished the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 56.64, placing 36th. Freshman Natalia Evans-Gibson finished in a time of 56.94, placing 40th.
  • The relay team of Soetanto, junior Savannah Xu, sophomore Elizabeth Shaffer, and Scharpf placed 28th in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:38.62.

Tomorrow the Tartans will compete in the 200-yard butterfly, 100-yard backstroke, and 100-yard breaststroke. Events will begin at 10:00 a.m.
