Tartans Race Each Other in Time Trials Meet
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team hosted a time trails meet on Saturday, January 18.
Top Performances
- Senior Katie Rock finished with a time of 5:23.56 for first place in the 500-yard freestyle.
- Junior Savannah Xu took first in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:12.06, followed by freshman Yuchen Zhou with a time of 2:14.72.
- Freshman Lizzy Rosenberg was first in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.31.
- Junior Audrey Lambert finished first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.82.
- Junior Audrey Soetanto and Rock finished in under two minutes in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 1:57.28 and 1:59.58.
- Sophomore Elizabeth Schaffer finished with a time of 1:08.39 in the 100-yard breaststroke to lead the field.
- Xu won the 100-yard backstroke in 57.31 and the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:28.85.
- Freshman Allie Kim finished first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:11.38.
- Junior Eliana Szabo took first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.35.
- Freshman Natalia Evans-Gibson finished with a time of 2:09.20 in the 200-yard butterfly to win the event by more than nine seconds.
