Bio

Kathy McConnell-Miller, who has coached at the high school, college and professional levels, was named the head coach of the Carnegie Mellon Women's Basketball program in May 2024.

McConnell-Miller led the Tartans to the NCAA Tournament in her first season after finishing second in the University Athletic Association (UAA) for just the second time in program history. The Tartans won their first-round game against Bridgewater State University to capture the program's fourth NCAA victory and second trip to the second round. The team tied the school record for the most wins in school history with 21 and best record at 21-6. The team also set the school record for three-pointers made in a season with 172 while shooting 34.7% from long range.

Family

  • McConnell-Miller and her husband Brad live in the Mt. Lebanon area. They are the proud parents of Brice, Mackenzie and Macie.
  • One of eight children, she is one of six McConnell siblings who attended college on a basketball scholarship.
