Three Tartans Earn All-UAA Status
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Senior Nicole Timko, sophomore Payton Baney and freshman Aleena Dinker earned University Athletic Association (UAA) end of year honors when the coaches selected them to the 2025-26 UAA Women's All-Association Basketball Team. Timko was named to the first team while Baney and Dinker are on the second team.
Timko led the team in scoring all season and finished with a scoring average of 15.6 points per game while shooting 40.2% from the floor. She scored in double-digits in 23 games, including an average of 16.1 points in UAA play. Timko was solid all season and led the UAA in free throw percentage by making 86.3%. The veteran guard also led the team in three-pointers made with 50 while she was one off the team lead of rebounds with 148. The all-league award is the first of her career.
Baney is a repeat selection to the All-Association team, as she was last year's UAA Rookie of the Year. The sophomore post player averaged 7.7 points per game for the season and 7.8 points per game in UAA play. She grabbed a team-best 149 rebounds for a season average of 6.0 a game and led the team in blocks with 30 for 1.2 a game. Baney also shot a team-best 51.2% from the floor.
As the point guard for the Tartans, Dinker was third in scoring for the team with 8.8 points per game and led the unit with 3.2 assists a game for the season. Her performance in UAA play was strong, as she averaged 11.0 points and 3.4 assists a game with eight games in double-figure scoring. She scored a career-high 29 points at 13th-ranked Washington University in St. Louis to lead the Tartans to a season sweep of the Bears for the second straight season. Additionally, Dinker led the team in steals per game with 1.8 with a career-high of six against Carlow and nine games with two or more steals in UAA play.
