(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball senior Catherine Or was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for her performance in the 1-0 week for the Tartans. The award is the second of the season for Or.
Or started her final UAA campaign with 27 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals in a 69-63 come-from-behind victory at Case Western Reserve University on Saturday, January 11. Or tallied 20 of her points, while shooting 80% from the floor, in the second half, as the Tartans erased a nine-point halftime deficit to take the final lead of the game with 4:12 to play in the final frame. The senior guard shot 4-of-5 from floor and was perfect from long range to score 14 points in the fourth quarter. She tied her career-high of four three-pointers made to finish with a season-high 27 points.
The Tartans return to action on Friday, January 17 at 7:30 p.m. CT at the University of Chicago.
