Five Named to CSC Academic All-District Team for Men's Cross Country and Track and Field
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Five Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country and track and field student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III Men's Cross Country and Track and Field.
The Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Athletes honored were selected by their school's Athletics Communications professionals. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be regionally ranked in the top 50 for a single event for indoor or outdoor track and field or place in the top 50 at the regional cross country competion, and carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and have achieved at least sophomore academic and athletic standing.
Academic All‐District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America ballot. First‐, second‐ and third-team Academic All‐America honorees will be announced in July, following a vote by CSC's membership, which is comprised of more than 3,000 sports information and athletic communication professionals throughout the United States and Canada.

Eamon Brady - Sr. - 4.00 - computer science
Ryan Podnar - Jr. - 3.97 - international relations and political science
Matthew Porter - Gr. - 3.99 - international relations and politics
Casey Potrebic - Sr. - 3.72 - psychology
Sebastian Sanso - Sr. - 3.56 - computer science
Porter is a two-time honoree.
