Tartans Win Five Events at Marty Goldberg Gator Invite

(MEADVILLE, Pa.) – Members of the Carnegie Mellon University men's track and field team competed at the Marty Goldberg Gator Invite on Thursday hosted by Allegheny College.

Top Performances:

• Junior Johnathan Crawshaw won the shot put with a toss of 14.66 meters.
• Senior Sebastian Sanso won the high jump after he cleared the bar at 1.92 meters.
• Sanso also took first in the triple jump with a leap of 14.10 meters while junior Morgan Johnson took fifth with a mark of 12.42 meters.
• Freshman Lucas Knappenberger won the pole vault after clearing the bar at 4.38 meters while senior Casey Potrebic placed second clearing at 4.23 meters.
• Potrebic crossed the finish line in a personal-best time of 16.53 seconds to win the event.
•  Johnson placed second in the long jump with a mark of 6.85 meters with Sanso placing third with a jump of 6.55 meters.
