Sanso Named UAA Most Outstanding Performer in Field Events

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University senior Sebastian Sanso has been honored by the University Athletic Association (UAA) when the 2025 Outdoor Track and Field awards were announced. Sanso was named Most Outstanding Performer in the field events, becoming the 10th Tartan to receive the outdoor honor for field events.

Sanso won the high jump after clearing the bar with a personal-best tying mark of 1.98 meters. He took third in the triple jump, claiming his second All-UAA honor after recording a mark of 13.98 meters. Sanso also competed in the long jump where he placed fourth with a jump of 6.94 meters.
