Men's Swimming and Diving Honored by CSCAA for Academics

(NORFOLK, Va.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team was honored by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) with a Team Scholar All-America award as 12 individuals were also named CSCAA Scholar All-Americans.

The Team Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The men's team earned a 3.60 GPA for the spring semester and also earned the award following the fall semester in which they recorded a 3.64 team GPA.

To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections also earned a 3.50 GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.
