Tartans Capture Two All-America Finishes on Second Day of NCAA Championships
(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team continued competition at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday, March 19, at the IU Natatorium on the campus of Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. After day two, the Tartans are in 7th place out of 37 teams with 69 points.
Top Performances
- Junior Brayden Morford took second place in the 100-yard butterfly with a final swim of 46.85 seconds.
- Morford, sophomore Todd Dong, senior Arnav Deshpande and freshman Noah Barrett placed sixth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a final time of 1:19.35.
- Freshman Tenmy Wangpo earned All-America Second Team with a 15th-place finish in the 400-yard IM, touching the final wall in 3:57.21.

The Tartans will continue competition at the NCAA Championships tomorrow, Friday March 20. Competition will begin at 10 a.m. with preliminaries in the 200-yard medley relay, 200-yard butterfly, 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard breaststroke and 800-yard freestyle relay.
