Tartans Begin Run for UAA Championship

(CHICAGO, Ill.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team began the University Athletic Association (UAA) Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday, February 11 with the 3-meter diving event and the 800-yard freestyle relay.

Top Performances

• Junior Nico Shuster placed sixth on the three-meter board scoring 410.25 points.

• The 800-yard freestyle relay finished fifth in a time of 6:35.23 behind the swims from junior Brayden Morford, freshman Max Gu, sophomore Matvey Malinovski and junior Cole Venters.

Notes

• The Tartans currently sit in fifth place with 102 points, 14 points behind Case Western Reserve University in fourth.
