Tartans Set Another Record on Last Night of Kenyon Invite

(GAMBIER, Ohio) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team finished competition at the Kenyon College Total Performance Invitational on Saturday, November 22 with enough points for second place.

Top Performances

  • The 400-yard freestyle relay won the last event of the night by touching in 2:54.84 for a school record, and meet and pool record thanks to junior Brayden Morford, sophomore Todd Dong, sophomore Matthew Peitler, and senior Arnav Deshpande.
  • Freshman Tenmy Wangpo finished second in the 200-yard butterfly in an NCAA B Cut time of 1:47.87. Freshman Giulio Migliarina placed fourth in an NCAA B Cut time of 1:49.54 with junior Austin Lathrop touching seventh in 1:50.18.
  • Freshman Max Gu placed fifth in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:50.85. Sophomore Raaghav Reddy was eighth in 1:51.50.
  • Senior Max Kulbida finished sixth in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:02.75 with junior Andy Lu touching seventh in 2:02.84.
  • Dong placed 12th in the 100-yard freestyle in 45.61.
  • Junior Cole Venters placed 12th in the 1,650-yard freestyle in 16:14.79.
