Allen Named D3hoops.com Preseason All-America

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Junior Justin Allen of the Carnegie Mellon University men's basketball team was named to the 2024-2025 D3hoops.com Preseason All-America Team. Allen landed a spot on the third team.

Last season, Allen started all 26 games and led the University Athletic Association (UAA) in scoring averaging 21.4 points per game while ranking 13th nationally. Allen scored in double figures in 25 of the Tartans 26 contests while recording 20 or more points on 15 occasions and 30 three times, including a career-best 40 points at Washington & Jefferson. He became the program's single -season leader in points scored and points per game as he finished the 2023-24 campaign with 557 points breaking the mark of 515 that was held by George Harvey (1976-77).

Allen becomes the first Tartan to receive the preseason honor since D3hoops.com started a preseason All-America team in 2010-11.

The Tartans open their season on Friday, November 8 with a 7:00 p.m. tip against La Roche College on the hardwood of the Highmark Center.
