Bio

Joe Franciscus was hired as a program assistant for the Carnegie Mellon University Department of Athletics, Recreation and Physical Education in August 2016. With a background in health and physical education, Franciscus will be assisting the recreation staff in the Cohon University Center.

Franciscus graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in professional studies with a concentration in health and physical education. His working experience includes being the physical education program director and sports league director for the Boys and Girls Club of America at the Sarah Heinz House in Pittsburgh, along with various other sports instructor and coordinator positions.
