Cook earned her second career Academic All-District honor while Lindsey earned her first in her first year of eligibility.</description>

The team appearance marks the fourth in program history and first since 1998 when the Tartans finished fourth at the national meet.</description>

      <title>Tartans Finish Fourth at Mideast Regional; Alavilli Qualifies for Nationals</title>

      <description>The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team finished fourth at the NCAA Mideast Regional on Saturday, November 11, hosted by Dickinson College in Newville, Pa., by scoring 168 points. The nation's top team in Johns Hopkins University claimed the title with 38 points followed by 18th-ranked Elizabethtown with 100 points and 25th-ranked Haverford with 150. The Tartans, who were ranked fifth in the region for most of the year, finished ahead of 23rd-ranked Dickinson who finished with 178 points.</description>

      <description>The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team finished fourth at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 28 at Garret Mountain Reservation in Woodland Park, New Jersey. The Tartans accumulated 116 points at the 6k race hosted by New York University. The fourth-place showing for the Cardinal and Gray is the best finish at the championships since placing third in 2012.</description>
