      <description>Carnegie Mellon University had 16 student-athletes named to the 15th annual University Athletic Association (UAA) Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Team, as announced by the league&#x2019;s office on Wednesday, September 18. The 16 Tartans include three from the men&#x2019;s cross country team, two each from the men&#x2019;s track and field team, women&#x2019;s tennis team, women&#x2019;s golf team, and women&#x2019;s soccer team, and one each from the women&#x2019;s track and field team, men&#x2019;s swimming and diving team, men&#x2019;s golf team, men&#x2019;s basketball team, and women&#x2019;s basketball team. They join 155 other student-athletes representing all eight UAA member institutions to receive the prestigious honor.</description>
