  • #25 Tartans Advance in NCAA Tournament with 1-0 Win Against Swarthmore

    The 25th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team won its second round game of the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship on Sunday, 1-0, against Swarthmore College in front of a filled student section. The Tartans are now 13-5-1 for the year and advance to next weekends sectional round.

    The 25th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team defeated Cairn University, 7-0, in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship at home on Saturday evening. Freshman Helena Spencer (Warrenton, Va. / Patriot), freshman Alex Adams (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny), and sophomore Stephanie Ramsay (Lake Forest, Ill. / Loyola Academy) each tallied two goals in the win to advance to 12-5-1 for the season.
  • Four Tartans Selected to All-UAA Women’s Soccer Team

    Four members of the Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team were recognized by the University Athletic Association (UAA) coaches on Thursday when the All-UAA Women’s Soccer Team was announced. Three freshmen and a junior were honored for the fourth-place Tartans who finished the regular season ranked nationally with an 11-5-1 record and an invite to the NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Championship tournament.

    The 25th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team received an at-large bid to the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship after finishing fourth in the University Athletic Association. The appearance in the NCAA tournament marks the seventh in eight years for the program which finished the regular season with an 11-5-1 overall mark.

    Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer senior Camille Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio/The Seven Hills School) was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team, as announced by the association. The honor marks the third time Williams has been named to the all-district team.

    The 23rd-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team faced its second ranked opponent in as many games when it visited 12th-ranked University of Chicago on Sunday, November 3. Two first-half goals by the Tartans didn't hold up as the Maroons rallied for a 3-2 win. The Tartans are now 10-5-1 overall and 3-3 in the University Athletic Association (UAA) while the Maroons sit at 12-2-2 and 4-1-1.
