  • Tartans Lead Wire-to-Wire to Win 2019 Golfweek DIII Fall Invite; Sudjianto Medals

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team won the 2019 Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational on Tuesday at the par 72, 5,832-yard Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida. The Tartans followed up their record-breaking performance on Monday by carding a 303 on Tuesday for a total score of 908 (309-296-303) for the 54-hole event. The Cardinal and Gray not only secured a 19-stroke victory over Methodist University (319-300-308) and defending team champion Rhodes College (315-318-294) as well as 15 other Division III teams, but also set a new school record for the lowest 54-hole total in the program’s history. The old record was 912 set last season.
  • Two Records Fall as Tartans Extend Their Lead at Golfweek DIII Fall Invite

    The Carnegie Mellon University women’s golf team continued play on the second day of the 2019 Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational on Tuesday on the par 72, 5,832-yard Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida. The Tartans topped the program’s previous record for the lowest team score by four strokes with an eight-over par 296. With that, the Tartans carded a total 36-hole team score of 605 (309-296) and will enter the final day tomorrow as the leading team over a field of 18 schools. In addition, three players are currently positioned inside the top five of the individual leaderboard.
  • Tartans Lead After Day One at Golfweek DIII Fall Invite

    The Carnegie Mellon University women’s golf team competed at the opening day of the 2019 Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational held at the par 72, 5,832-yard Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida, on Sunday. The Tartans, last year’s runner-up in this event, currently lead 17 other teams in the three-day, 54-hole tournament after carding an 18-hole score of 309. In addition, three of the Tartans currently sit inside the top 10 of the individual leaderboard.
  • Women’s Golf Wins The Tartan Invitational

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team, ranked seventh nationally, hosted The Tartan Invitational on Tuesday at the historic Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, which is a par 72, 5,807 yard course. The event, which was supposed to be a two-day, 36-hole event was shorten to an 18-hole event on Tuesday because of inclement weather on Monday. The Tartans carded a 313 on Tuesday to win the 11-team invitational.
  • Individuals Compete at Allegheny Invitational

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf had individuals compete at the 2019 Allegheny College Invitational Sunday and Monday. The two-day event was hosted at the par 72 Country Club of Meadville.
  • Tartans Finish Second at NCAA Fall Preview

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team placed second at the 13-team 2019 NCAA Division III Preview held at held at the par-72, 5,839-yard PGA National Palmer Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The 54-hole event is being hosted by Emory University, as the Cardinal and Gray carded a 312 Sunday afternoon to finish with a 937 (318-307-312). Fellow University Athletic Association (UAA) foe, Washington University in St. Louis won the event with a 926 (318-300-308).
  • Tartans in Second After First Day of NCAA D-III Preview

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team competed at the opening day of the 2019 NCAA Division III Preview held at the par-72, 5,839-yard PGA National Palmer Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The 54-hole event is being hosted by Emory University. The Tartans currently are second in a field of 13 teams after carding a 36-hole score of 625 on Saturday. The Cardinal and Gray opened play with a 318 and then followed with a round of 307 in the afternoon.
