      <description>Junior Lisa Murphy (McLean, Va./McLean) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team added another All-America honor to her resume when D3hoops.com announced its 19th annual women&#x2019;s basketball All-America team on Wednesday, March 23. Murphy is the first Carnegie Mellon women&#x2019;s basketball player to receive All-America honors as the D3hoops.com recognition joins her Women&#x2019;s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) award received on March 18.</description>

The Tartans are now 21-6 on the season which ties the school record for wins in a season with the 1990-91 team.</description>

      <description>The Carnegie Mellon University women&#x2019;s basketball team traveled seven hours to Hope College in Holland, Michigan, for the program&#x2019;s first NCAA Women&#x2019;s Basketball Tournament game in 25 years, and closed Friday night&#x2019;s opening round with a 73-72 victory after junior Lisa Murphy (McLean, Va./McLean) converted a layup and foul shot with five seconds left. The Tartans, ranked 25th in the nation, are now 20-6 while the fifth-ranked Flying Dutch end the year with a 26-2 record.</description>

      <description>Senior Liza Otto (Glastonbury, Conn.) of the Carnegie Mellon University women&#x2019;s basketball team became the 11th Tartan to score 1,000 career points, as the Tartans defeated 12th-ranked University of Rochester, 95-89, on Sunday, February 21.  The University Athletic Association (UAA) victory improves the Tartans&#x2019; record to 7-6 in Association play and 18-6 overall while the Yellowjackets are now 19-5, 9-4.  The win over Rochester marked Carnegie Mellon&#x2019;s second over a ranked opponent this season.</description>

The win moves Carnegie Mellon's record to 14-4 and 3-4 in UAA play while Brandeis even their mark at 9-9 and 3-4.</description>
