  • McNab and Kyle Named UAA Swimmer and Diver of the Week

    Carnegie Mellon University men’s swimming freshman John McNab (Westport, Conn. / Staples) and sophomore Judson Kyle (Austin, Texas / St. Stephen's Episcopal School) were named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week. McNab earns his first honor while Kyle earns his second straight.
  • Tartans Host Diving Invitational

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's diving team hosted its annual diving invitational on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23. Joining the Tartans at the meet were competitors from Chatham University, Rowan University, University of Rochester, and Westminster College.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men’s swimming team began the three-day competition at the West Virginia University Invitational against four Division I teams and another Division III team on Thursday, November 21. The 200-yard freestyle relay opened the evening session with a school record.

    Carnegie Mellon University men’s swimming junior Justin Britton (Falls Church, Va. / George Mason) and diving sophomore Judson Kyle (Austin, Texas / St. Stephen’s Episcopal School) were named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week. Britton earns his second honor of the season while Kyle earns his first.
  • 200 Free Relay Sets Pool Record in Dual Meet Win

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team set the pool record in the 200-yard freestyle relay and four divers qualified for the NCAA Regional Meet in a home 178-79 win against Washington and Lee University on Saturday, November 16.
  • Tartans Win Every Event at Dual Meet with Grove City

    The Carnegie Mellon University men’s swimming and diving team competed against Grove City College on Saturday, November 2 and topped the Wolverines 238-62. The Tartans won all 16 events.
  • Britton Honored as UAA Athlete of the Week

    Carnegie Mellon University men’s swimming junior Justin Britton (Falls Church, Va. / George Mason) was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Tartans dual meet against Case Western Reserve University.
  • Tartan Men Swim Past Case Western Reserve
    October 26, 2019
    The Carnegie Mellon University men’s swimming and diving team hosted Case Western Reserve University on Homecoming and defeated the Spartans in a dual meet, 234-66. The Tartans opened the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay before winning nine other races.
  • Divers Sweep UAA Athlete of the Week Awards

    Carnegie Mellon University junior Maddie Mianzo (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) and sophomore James Kyle (Austin, Texas / St. Stephen’s Episcopal School) of the swimming and diving teams earned University Athletic Association (UAA) Diving Athlete of the Week honors following their season-opening performances at the Kenyon College Relays.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team participated in the Kenyon College Relays on Saturday, October 19. The Tartans finished second to Kenyon with 88 points, while topping the Ohio Northern University, College of Wooster, and Ohio Wesleyan University.

  • Brendan Heller to Join Swimming and Diving Staff
    June 20, 2019
    Carnegie Mellon University men’s and women’s swimming and diving head coach Matt Kinney has announced Brendan Heller as the next full-time assistant coach for both programs. Heller joins the Tartan staff after serving as head swim coach at Sacred Heart Greenwich in Greenwich, Connecticut, for four years.
