  • Del Bosque and Tan Named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars

    Senior Adrian Del Bosque (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academy) and junior Patrick Tan (Vancouver, British Columbia/Prince of Wales Secondary) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team have been named a Division III Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). This marks the sixth straight year that Carnegie Mellon has had a golfer named a scholar and second straight with multiple golfers named.
  • Men’s Golf Receives Academic Accolades for 2017-18 Season

    The 2017-18 Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team was one of 34 NCAA Division III institutions who received the All-Academic Team award from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The Tartans finished the year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.25.
  • Li Named PING Mid-Atlantic All-Region

    Freshman Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University men’s golf team has once again been recognized for his play on the course this past season by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). On Tuesday night, at the GCAA annual awards dinner, Li was named to the PING Mid-Atlantic Region team. This honor comes less than two weeks following the announcement that Li is a semifinalist for the NCAA Division III Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award presented by Barbasol.

    Freshman Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University men’s golf team has been named by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as a semifinalist for the NCAA Division III Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award presented by Barbasol. The Nicklaus Award recognizes the top players at the Division I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA levels.
  • Li Named UAA Men’s Golf Rookie of the Year; Two Others Named to the All-UAA Squad

    Freshman Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team has been named University Athletic Association (UAA) Rookie of the Year, as voted on by the association coaches. Li, also a first-team selection, is joined by two Tartan honorable mention honorees, senior Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) and junior Patrick Tan (Vancouver, British Columbia/Prince of Wales Secondary).
  • Chordia Leads Tartans at First Round of The Hershey Cup

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team opened play on Sunday at the 15-team Hershey Cup. The Tartans as a team are tied for 14th after carding a 322 on the par-71, East Course at Hershey Country Club. The two-day, 36-hole event finds Kenyon College leading with a 299.
  • Men’s Golf Hosts Annual Spring Invitational

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team hosted its annual spring invitational on Thursday at the par 70 Longue Vue Club in Verona, Pennsylvania. The Tartans had five golfers compete all as individuals while Point Park won the four-team event after carding a 318. Top individual medalist honors went to Jason Thorp from Thiel after shooting a four-over par 74.
  • Del Bosque Cards a Four-Under 68 to Lead Men’s Golf at Final Round of Wynlakes Intercollegiate

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team carded a final round of 308 at the Wynlakes Intercollegiate in Montgomery, Alabama on Tuesday, and finished 15th with a 36-hole score of 631 (323-308). Wittenberg University won the 16-team event with a score of 591 (299-292). The 36-hole event was played at the par 72, 6,979-yard Wynlakes Golf & Country Club.
  • Men’s Golf Opens Play at Wynlakes Intercollegiate

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed in the first round of the Wynlakes Intercollegiate in Montgomery, Alabama on Monday, and carded a team score of 323. The field is comprised of 16 teams, including six teams ranked in the top 25 nationally. The 36-hole event is being played at the par 72, 6,979-yard Wynlakes Golf & Country Club.
  • Men’s Golf Completes Play at Jekyll Island Collegiate

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team finished play at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Sunday. The Tartans ended the 54-hole tournament 14th out of 30 teams after carding a score of 894 (296-293-305) over the three rounds. The field was comprised of 14 of the nation's top 25 teams in Division III and included four of the top five. The three-day event was held on the 6,700-yard, par-72 Pine Lakes Course on Jekyll Island.
  • Men’s Golf in Ninth After Second Round of Jekyll Island Collegiate

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team continued play at the second day of the 2018 Jekyll Island Collegiate Saturday. The Tartans are currently in ninth after 36-holes of play with a two-round total of 589 (296-293) after carding a 293 on Saturday. The three-day event is being played on the 6,700-yard, par-72 Pine Lakes Course on Jekyll Island. The field is comprised of 30 teams which has 14 of the nation's top 25 teams in Division III including four of the top five.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed in the first round of the Jekyll Collegiate Invitational played on Friday. The Tartans carded a team score of 296 in the opening round and are currently ninth. The field is comprised of 30 teams which has 14 of the nation's top 25 teams in Division III including four of the top five. The three-day, 54-hole event is being held on the 6,700-yard, par-72 Pine Lakes Course on Jekyll Island.
  • Men’s Golf Places Second at UAA Championship Match Play

    The Carnegie Mellon University men’s golf team competed at the University Athletics Association (UAA) Championship match play final Tuesday against Emory University and dropped a hard fought 3.5-1.5 decision. The two-day, 36-hole championship was played at Hammock Beach Resort on the 6,972-yard, par-72 Conservatory Course in Palm Coast, Florida.
  • Men’s Golf Advances to UAA Championship Match Play Final

    The Carnegie Mellon University men’s golf team competed at the University Athletics Association (UAA) Championships on Monday, March 12 in a four-team match play format. The 2018 championships are being played at Hammock Beach Resort on the Conservatory Course in Palm Coast, Florida. In the opening round, the Tartans faced the University of Rochester and defeated the Yellowjackets with a 3-2 decision. Hammock Beach Resort Conservatory Course is a par-72 course.

  • Men’s Golf Places Second at O'Briant-Jensen; Tan Ties School Record with a 67

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team, ranked 25th nationally, finished play at the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial hosted by Guilford College at the Sedgefield Country Club - Dye Course in Greensboro, North Carolina on Tuesday afternoon. The Tartans carded a 283 and placed second in the 20-team field with a 36-hole score of 581 (298-283) on the par 71, 6,822-yard course. The team score of 283 on Tuesday is the second lowest round in program history and tied for the lowest round at the two-day Memorial.
  • Arashiro Leads Tartans in Opening Round of O'Briant-Jensen Memorial

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team, ranked 25th nationally, competed in the opening round of the 36-hole O'Briant-Jensen Memorial hosted by Guilford College at the Sedgefield Country Club - Dye Course in Greensboro, North Carolina on Monday afternoon. The Tartans carded a 298 and currently are in fourth-place in the 20-team field on the par 71, 6,822-yard course.

    Freshman Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University men’s golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Golf Athlete of the Week following his performance last week, as he was the Tartans top golfer averaging 72.8 in five rounds of play.
  • Men’s Golf Places Third at Oglethorpe Royal Lakes Invitational

    Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team carded a 289 for the second round of the Oglethorpe-Royal Lakes Fall Invitational in Flowery Branch, Georgia to finish with a team score of 585 (296-289) to place third in a field of 18 teams. The 36-hole event is being played at the par-72, 6,856-yard Royal Lakes Golf and Country Club. Sunday afternoon saw the final nine holes of the invitational played, as 27-holes were played Saturday in the preparation of heavy rains from Tropical Storm Nate.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed at the first day of the Oglethorpe-Royal Lakes Fall Invitational in Flowery Branch, Georgia on Saturday, October 7. The 36-hole event is being played at Royal Lakes Golf and Country Club with par 72. Event organizers decided to play 27-holes on Saturday with heavy rains slated for Sunday's final day of competition from Tropical Storm Nate.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed in the final round of the 54-hole Gordin Collegiate Classic hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at the Deleware Golf Club in Deleware, Ohio on Monday afternoon. The Tartans carded their best round of the classic on Monday with a 294 to finish with a 911 (313-304-294) on the par 71, 6,562-yard course.
  • Men’s Golf Competes in Day 1 of Gordin Collegiate Classic

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed on Sunday in the opening day of the two-day, 54-hole Gordin Collegiate Classic hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at the Deleware Golf Club in Deleware, Ohio. With 36 holes being played on Sunday, the Tartans carded rounds of 313 and 304 for a 617 and currently are in 11th.
  • Men’s Golf Wins Carnegie Mellon Fall Shootout, Sets School Record
    September 17, 2017
    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team hosted the 36-hole Carnegie Mellon Fall Shootout on Saturday and Sunday, September 16-17 at The Links at Spring Church in Apollo, Pennsylvania. The Tartans carded a school record two-round total of 570 (284-286) to win the 10-team event on the 6,516-yard, par-70 course.
