(LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz.) – Senior Ian Bangor (Moon Township, Pa./Sewickley Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team will participate in the 54-hole Patriot All-America Tournament December 29-31.  Bangor is one of the 84 collegians in the field of The Patriot All-America Invitational. The third annual tournament will be played on the par-71 Gold Course at The Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park, Arizona.

Invitations to The Patriot are primarily based on individuals earning PING All-American honors the previous season in NCAA Divisions I, II and II as well as the NAIA and NJCAA Divisions I and II. Additionally, a member from each of the U.S. military academies has been invited to participate.

Prior to the competition, golfers will participate in a formal Opening Ceremony on Saturday where they will be presented with a red, white and blue bag that bears the name and branch of service of a fallen military member whom they shall represent throughout the tournament.

Bangor will be representing Air Force Staff Sgt. Brian P. Hause and set to tee off at 10:10 a.m. Sunday in the first round.  Bangor was named to the NCAA Division III PING All-America third team following the 2012-13 season.  He is the school's school's all-time leader with 10 tournament wins and 17 top-three finishes.  Through seven rounds this season, he leads the Tartans with a 73.7 average.
