  • Tartans Outshoot Gators but Fall in OT, 1-0

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team took to the road Monday night for a non-conference game at Allegheny College. The Tartans battled the Gators to a scoreless 90 minutes before falling 1-0 in the first overtime period. The Tartans are now 3-3 for the season while the Gators picked up their first win and are now 1-6.
  • Tartans Finish Second at NCAA Fall Preview

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team placed second at the 13-team 2019 NCAA Division III Preview held at held at the par-72, 5,839-yard PGA National Palmer Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The 54-hole event is being hosted by Emory University, as the Cardinal and Gray carded a 312 Sunday afternoon to finish with a 937 (318-307-312). Fellow University Athletic Association (UAA) foe, Washington University in St. Louis won the event with a 926 (318-300-308).
  • Tartans Place Sixth at NCAA Fall Preview

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed in the final round of the 54-hole 2019 NCAA Division III Preview held at the par-72, 6,902-yard PGA National Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, hosted by Emory University. The Tartans carded a 299 during Sunday’s round to finish sixth in a field of 18 teams with a 908 (316-293-299).

    A group of young Tartans traveled to Gambier, Ohio, for the Kenyon College Invitational on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15 showing the depth of the Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team.
  • Football Tops Geneva 31-6 in Seventh Annual PAC Kickoff Classic

    The Carnegie Mellon University football team traveled to Beaver Falls on Saturday night for the Seventh Annual Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Kickoff Classic against Geneva College. The Tartans walked out of Reeves Field with a 31-6 victory to start the season 2-0, 1-0, while the Golden Tornadoes are now 0-2, 0-1.
  • No. 10 Tartans Top No. 13 Hope and Muskingum by 3-1 Scores

    The 10th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team finished play in the Carnegie Mellon DoubleTree Invitational on Saturday, September 14 with a morning 3-1 victory against 13th-ranked Hope College and an evening 3-1 win against previously undefeated Muskingum University. The Tartans are now 10-1 on the season.
  • Tartans Win Allegheny Classic for Third Straight Year

    The 23rd-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team repeated as champions for the third time at the Allegheny College Classic on Saturday morning. The women scored six runners in the top 15 among a field of Division III teams including Allegheny and Case Western Reserve University.

    The 7th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team topped the field at the Allegheny College Classic on Saturday. The men's team finished with 13 runners in the top 15 and a perfect score to record their second consecutive win this season.

The 54-hole event is being hosted by Emory University. The Tartans currently are second in a field of 13 teams after carding a 36-hole score of 625 on Saturday. The Cardinal and Gray opened play with a 318 and then followed with a round of 307 in the afternoon.

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's volleyball team, ranked 10th nationally, opened the Carnegie Mellon DoubleTree Invitational on Friday with a split of two matches. The Tartans started the night with a 3-0 (28-26, 25-23, 25-14) setback against Susquehanna University before topping Washington and Jefferson College, 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-16). The Tartans are now 8-1 on the season.

    The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team defeated Westminster College, 2-0, on Friday night at home. The Tartans are now 3-2 for the season while the Titans fall to 2-3.
  • Tartan Athletics Club Adds Five to Board of Directors

    Five Carnegie Mellon alumni have joined the Tartan Athletics Club Board of Directors, and will begin four-year terms this fall. Kelly Chin de Csepel, Joe Ferris, Shauna Grovell, Young Kang and Alejandro Villanueva will join a Board that has made a significant impact on the Carnegie Mellon Athletics program since its inception in August 2012.
  • Adams Scores Twice in Tartans 3-0 Win Against Grove City

    Freshman Alex Adams (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team scored twice as the Tartans defeated Grove City College, 3-0, on Wednesday, September 11 at home. The Tartans are now 3-1-1 while the Wolverines fall to 1-3.

  • Foose Earns UAA Weekly Honor

    Senior Erika Foose (Allentown, Pa. / Parkland) of the Carne-gie Mellon University volleyball team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week following her performance last week. Foose helped the undefeated Tartans to a 4-0 mark including wins over 15th-ranked Ithaca College and third-ranked Juniata College on her way to being named the Most Valuable Player at the ASICS Invitational hosted by Juniata.
  • Tartans B Team Places Second at 36-hole Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational

    The B team of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf program competed at the annual Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole invite was played at The Country Club of Meadville and was hosted by Allegheny College. The Tartans carded rounds of 293 and 312 for a 605 and finished six strokes behind the host Gators.

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team hosted Ohio Northern University on Sunday, September 1 in the final game of the Carnegie Mellon DoubleTree Tartan Cup. An early second half goal by the visitors stood for a 1-0 final moving the Tartans record to 1-1 and the Polar Bears record to 2-0.
