  • Women’s Track Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards
    July 27, 2018
    The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2018 Division III All-Academic Track & Field Teams and Carnegie Mellon University was included on each list for the 22nd consecutive year. A total of 106 men's teams and 185 women's teams earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better for the 2017-18 academic year.
  • Lindsey Named CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-American

    Sophomore Emmalyn Lindsey (Eugene, Ore. / South Eugene) of the Carnegie Mellon University women’s cross country and track and field teams was named to the 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-America Division III Cross Country/Track & Field Third Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
  • Two Women Honored on CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-District Team

    Carnegie Mellon University senior Sarah Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Hampton) and sophomore Emmalyn Lindsey (Eugene, Ore. / South Eugene) have been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Google Cloud Academic All-District Team for women’s cross country and track and field. Cook earned her second career Academic All-District honor while Lindsey earned her first in her first year of eligibility.
  • Outdoor Track and Field Garners 14 USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

    The Carnegie Mellon University men’s and women’s track and field teams had 14 Mideast All-Region honors awarded to its athletes by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2018 outdoor track and field season. Nine represent the women while five represent the men with three receiving multiple honors.
  • Cook Finishes Career at NCAA Outdoor Championships

    Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field senior Sarah Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Hampton) completed her career at the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Friday evening.
  • Karabin Earns All-America Honor in Pole Vault at NCAA Championships

    Sophomore Michelle Karabin (Ruffs Dale, Pa. / Greensburg Central Catholic) of the Carnegie Mellon University women’s outdoor track and field team earned All-America recognition at the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday. The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is hosting the championships this year.
  • Three Tartans Qualify for NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships

    Three Carnegie Mellon University men’s and women’s track and field athletes have qualified for the 2018 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships to be hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on May 24-26. Seniors Jacob Schofel (Livingston, N.J. / Livingston) and Sarah Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Hampton), along with sophomore Michelle Karabin (Ruffs Dale, Pa. / Greensburg Central Catholic) made the field and will represent the Tartans.

    Sophomore Michelle Karabin (Ruffs Dale, Pa. / Greensburg Central Catholic) of Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field tied the school record in the pole vault at the Great Lakes Final Qualifying Meet hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Thursday.
  • Tartans Compete at 13th Annual Gator Invitational
    May 11, 2018
    The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed at the 13th Annual Gator Invitational host by Allegheny College on Friday. Junior Autumn Hair (Blue Bell, Pa. / Wissahickon) placed in the top six in three events while senior Sarah Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Hampton) took second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:13.26 and junior Alexa Barriero (Middletown, N.J. / Middletown North) placed second in the javelin with a mark of 35.23 meters.

  • 4x400 Sets School Record, Women Place Fourth at UAA Championships

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team placed fourth at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Track and Field Championships hosted on its home track and field. The fourth-place finish ties the 1995 and 1998 teams for the best finish in school history.

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed at the Slippery Rock University Open on Thursday, April 19 and turned in two top spots in the unscored event. The 400-meter run highlighted the day, as the Cardinal and Gray swept the top three places.

    The Carnegie Mellon University women’s track and field team traveled to Westminster College to compete at the Westminster Invitational on Saturday, April 14. The Tartans finished seventh out of 23 teams and third amongst Division III teams with 33 points.

  • Bhanja Breaks 23-Year Old School Record as Women’s Track and Field Win Annual Quad Meet

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team hosted its annual Carnegie Mellon Quad on Saturday. The Tartans won the quad with 221 points after turning in 11 first-place finishes. Penn State Behrend placed second with 177 points.

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team started the outdoor track and field season at the Washington and Lee University Carnival on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17. The Tartans won four events during the meet.

After the first day of competition, the Tartans are in third-place with 20 points.

    The Carnegie Mellon University women’s track and field team entered the Dragon Grand Prix hosted by Tiffin University on Saturday, February 10 for its fourth meet of the season. The Tartans won two events for the day in the unscored meet while two earned career-best marks.
  • Tartans Win Second Straight Bob Shannon Invitational

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed at the Denison University Bob Shannon Invitational on Saturday, February 3, and won event for the second straight season with 118 points. Ohio Wesleyan University took second with 96.5 points.
