Yee Receives Invite for NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – Senior Grace Yee (San Francisco, Calif./Lick-Wilmerding) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's indoor track and field team has received an invite to the NCAA Women's Track and Field Championships to be held March 10-11 at the Res Rec Center in Naperville, Illinois, with North Central College serving as the official host. Yee will compete in the pole vault.

Yee qualified for the championships following her school record mark of 3.77 meters at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Indoor Championships. Yee's height surpassed her previous school record of 3.71 meters set the week prior.   
 
Yee also becomes the second women's field participant to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships. In 2007, Jessica Meng competed in the high jump.

The pole vault preliminaries are set for Friday, March 10 at 3:00 p.m. CT with the finals to follow.
