  • Sica Appointed Assistant Swimming and Diving Coach

    Former Ithaca College and Harvard University assistant coach James Sica will join the Carnegie Mellon University Swimming and Diving staff this August. Sica will serve as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s programs.
  • Six Earn Scholar Recognition from CSCAA

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team was honored by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) with a Team Scholar All-America award as six individuals were also named.
  • Kaku Earns All-America Status in Diving

    Sophomore diver Machika Kaku (Irvine, Calif./University) joined the diving All-America ranks at Carnegie Mellon University with her finish at the 2015 NCAA Division III Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships.
  • 400-yard Medley Relay Earns Honorable Mention All-America Honors

    The 400-yard medley relay team earned All-America Honorable Mention status for the Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team on the second day of the 2015 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. The meet is being held at Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas.

    Sophomore diver Machika Kaku (Irvine, Calif./University) advanced to the 2015 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships after competing at the NCAA Zone 4 Regional on Saturday, February 28. The national meet will take place on March 18-21 in Shenandoah, Texas.

    Three Carnegie Mellon University women’s divers earned a spot at the NCAA Diving Regional to be held at SUNY Geneseo on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28. The top seven finishers on each board will move on to the national meet March 18-21.

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team continued the competition at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships on Friday, February 13 at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Sophomore Gillian Crews (Fairfax, Va./Oakton) set a school record in the 100-yard butterfly and the Tartans sit in 5th place heading into the final day.

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team began the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships on Thursday, February 12 at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, with the 200-yard freestyle relay setting a new school record.
  • Tartans Gear Up for UAA Championships at Pittsburgh

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team competed at the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday, January 31 against the Panthers, California University of Pennsylvania, Clarion University and Duquesne University. The Tartans defeated CalPA 214-61 and Clarion 185.50-105.50 but fell to Pitt 234-60 and Duquesne 172-113.

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team hosted Denison University in its last home meet of the year on Saturday, January 24. The Tartans fell by an overall score of 170-104.
  • Tartans Women Dominate in Wins Over Westminster and SUNY Geneseo

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team dominated in the pool Saturday, January 17 in a home double-dual meet with Westminster College and SUNY Geneseo. The Tartans defeated the Titans 240-60 and the Knights 161-139 by winning eight events and placing second in nine.

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team opened the Total Performance Invitational at Kenyon College with two events, the 1,650-yard freestyle and the 800-yard freestyle relay. The Tartans competed against DePauw University, Grove City College, Kenyon, and Johns Hopkins University from Division III institutions and Davidson College and University of Pennsylvania from Division I institutions.

    The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team increased its season dual meet record to 4-0 with a pair of wins on Saturday, November 8 when Grove City College and University of Rochester visited Pittsburgh. The Tartans defeated the Wolverines 225-75 and the Yellowjackets 175-124.
